Lots of fully costumed children and half drunk adults, but still quite enjoyable for a 30 degree October evening. Nice to see all the activity and a campground catering to the locals. All hook ups were good. Campground is quite tight for big rigs towing. Probably best to unhook regardless of what they tell you at the office. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of amenities including pool, mini golf, and kids games. Some spots were a little tight, but was able to get my 42 footer in just fine. Very clean. We stayed for one night. The staff was friendly and courteous. The site was close to level.
The water pressure was good. We had a pull thru site plenty of room. We were impressed at the efficiency and friendliness of this busy campground as we approached the 4th of July holiday. Our pull through was near the attractive new "cabins" rustic looking park models I'd call them and swimming pool. All details were attended to here from the dog park to the pizza and wings available in the take out area of the clubhouse.
The laundry was older but well tended to. Great place for families, and though it is close to the interstate, we found it quiet enough. Good location of sewer however. This is one of the last KOAs open on a trip north and so has become a regular stop for us. We arrived on a Friday evening and paid for one night. Due to a winter weather advisory we went and paid for a second night the next morning.
We arrived in pouring rain. The place was wet due to the rain but being largely gravel the wet was shallow and there was very little mud. They have a nice doggy park next to the pool that is big enough that even our big dog could actually run. We really appreciated that. Utilities were properly located so that it was easy to hook up and the site was nicely level. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
For a KOA the sites were on the large side.
Gretna NE KOA and a Quick One Night Stand
It was easy to reach right off the interstate. We got a sit right behind the main building so we did not hear as much traffic noise as we have on previous stops here. It is a little higher than some KOAs but they have a frequent visitor card so you can get a free night after three stays and a weekend for free after five days. We will be going back that way on our next trip south so we will use our free weekend then. They had a nice looking kiddie park and activity area that makes me think this would be a great stop for families with kids.
This is a great park for an overnight or two stay. Long, wide pull thrus, with easy access to I We stayed here for just one night on our way through, so for that kind of stay, this park worked out fine. We were greeted on arrival by a friendly staff, we were escorted to our site, and all the utilities worked well. It is convenient, right off the interstate.
Sioux Falls KOA, SD | The Dyrt
We were in an easy pull-through site and didn't have to detach our Jeep. Our Verizon signal was very strong here. Perfect spot for an overnight. The park is just off I so you will experience some road noise.
It didn't bother us at all. We had no trouble sleeping with the windows open. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful. Staff takes good care of the facility checking each site as visitors check out to make sure that it is ready for the next person. There are trees in each site that interfered with our Direct TV signal but cable is provided for no additional fee.
Decent Wifi for a campground, hard to connect on the weekends when the park was full.
Sioux City North KOA Review & Ratings Overview
We had 3 bars of Verizon 4G service on phone and Jetpak. Picnic tables need some work, there are fire rings at each site. Dorothy Pecault Nature Center was beautiful. Typical KOA with respect to sites. Close together with no privacy however I can say that the pull through fit our truck and rig, without requiring us to unhitch.
We had no problems opening our slides. Office staff was nice.

Bathhouse was clean. Property has several long term tenants that do not help with the property's value. Property was close to the intereste, but the road noise was not too bad which was helpful as I am a light sleeper. We found this KOA to be too expensive, for what it is. The roads are gravel and the landscaping is moderate at best. The pool was small, but not too bad Some attention was needed there. The biggest frustration, was that there was an additional coast for the amenities. For us, just not worth it. We don't be back. We stayed two nights in this campground. It was early in the season so it wasn't crowded.
Roads and sites are gravel with areas of grass in between. Spacing is good, sites are sufficiently long. I thought it was pricey for off season rates, thus the lower rating. Easy on and off I, 15 min max into Sioux City. Wifi was adequate, cable tv excellent. Absolutely fantastic this is an oasis after a long day on the road. The camp site is green and very well kept overlooking a river and corn fields as far as the eye can see. Our hosts greeted us with a warm Midwest welcome and we very munch enjoyed the evenings conversation.
Star was a steadfast supervisor and assistant lumber dog as we set up our rig. We would absolutely recommend Riversedge as an outstanding boondocking location with exceptionally gracious and friendly hosts.

Darrell and Candice waited up late for us after we blew a tyre enroute and ended up needing our truck fixing as well - and still welcomed us with smiles. The site was spacious and green and the view was gorgeous. Our kids enjoyed roaming the river and the farm and playing with their sweet dog, Star. All in all it was an oasis of peace in beautiful countryside with kind, friendly hosts who were quick to smile. Highly recommend them to anyone. What a beautiful, peaceful place to boondock. My wife and I were so pleased to find such a lovely place.
Our hosts couldn't have been nicer, and their dog, Star, is just a delight! We would definitely stay at Riversedge again given the opportunity. Highly recommended! This place is amazing!! The most peaceful and relaxing spot we've been to in a long while. You can't find this kind of peace in any campground.
